Our Company
Kijiji Republic is a company based in Shrewsbury, MA, USA. It is a great source of unique, African handmade crafts, Kiondos, baskets, sandals, jewelry, personal accessories and home décor, representing the diverse and unique cultures of the African people. The products are handmade by artisans whom we build long term relationships with in order to be able to market their products. The products sold help to sustain the livelihood of the artisans, by enabling them to meet their cost for food, healthcare and education for themselves and their families.
Kijiji Republic will also ensure that we reinvest back into the communities where we acquire our products, by meeting such needs as providing clean drinking water, building and supporting education for children, providing health facilities. This will be done through the Kijiji Republic non-profit.
Our Name
The inspiration of our name -Kijiji Republic- came from the fact that Africa has rich cultures and traditions that are as diverse as the African people living there. The uniqueness and diversity of the people is evident from one city to another and from one village to another. It’s in the villages hence Kijiji-{Swahili (East African Language) meaning village} that the cultures are preserved and seen in their extraordinary and unique products.
Our logo

Our logo represents the values we want to invest in Kijiji Republic. The hand reminds us that the products are made by hand from the skills and talents of the artisans. The African continent represents the home of where our artisans live and where we want to positively influence by giving hope, changing lives and building futures by marketing and selling their products.
Our vision is to turn Kijiji (Village) into a “Republic” where it can be able to sustain itself by producing and selling its skills and talents through making handmade products and selling them to the rest of the world. Join us in making this vision a reality.
